InCham Cambodia: Empowering Indian-Cambodian Business Partnerships
Our team consists of experienced professionals with in-depth knowledge of the local business landscape and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities present in Cambodia.
We work closely with the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Indian Embassy, and various stakeholders to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
By leveraging our extensive network and expertise, we aim to bridge the gap between Indian investors and the Cambodian market, facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships and fostering economic growth.
In the year 2012 , five individuals Mr Debasish Patnaik ( President ) , Mr Sandeep Majumdar ( Vice President ) , Mr Mohan Gunti ( Chamber Affairs ) , Mr Mohit Rajvanshi ( BOD ) & Mr Nagraju ( BOD ) the first Board of Directors of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia registered the Chamber with the Ministry of Commerce .Later they added Mr Clement Robinson and Mr Alex Thomas as Board Members . This humble beginning had the blessing of then Indian Ambassador H E Dinesh Patnaik and ICC and Embassy used to work together hand in hand for all events and delegations which used to come from India . The first big incoming delegation which ICC handled was FICCI delegation which had 80 business owners and CEO who introduced there products to there Cambodian counter parts.
In 2015 Mr Sandeep Majumdar took over as President of ICC / InCham and is heading the Chamber till now . Series of events and delegations were handled since 2015 such as . Pharmexcil , IPEX , Exim Bank , IPPAI , ICC ( Kolkata ) , Texprocil & many state Chambers from India visited Cambodia with business entrepreneurs to exhibition and B2B meetings . Many delegations from Cambodia were taken to India to participate in CLMV conclave , GES Summit , Elecrama , Jute Expo , Asean – Africa – India Summit , Medical expo , Advantage Assam Summit , Horaisa summit to just name a few . Initially the main exports from India to Cambodia was Pharmaceuticals and animal feeds . With vigorous promotion of trade delegations between India and Cambodia , we could see that Indian business owners started investing in Agriculture , Real Estate , Hospitality , Wellness , Automobile , service Industry , IT , Education and many other sectors in Cambodia .
ICC / InCham has successfully collaborated with all the major local Associations in Cambodia and done joint events . ICC / InCham is one of the most dynamic chambers in Cambodia when it comes to organize joint events with major International Chambers . Also during two years of covid ICC / InCham was the only Chambers which organized weekly webinars and invited speakers from India and Asean countries . International speakers were invited in sectors from FMCG , Bank , Youth Entrepreneur , Women Entrepreneur , Real Estate , Hotel , Tourism , Insurance , Education , AI , Water Management and many others .
The newly elected board of ICC / InCham for the year 2024 / 2025 comprises of Mr Sandeep Majumdar ( President ) , Mr Surya Narayan ( Vice President ) , Mr Vijay Allaham ( BOD ) Mr Jhelum Chowdhury ( BOD ) and Mr Partho Ghosh ( BOD ) . The new elected board of ICC / InCham have there event plan ready and want to plan new and innovative ideas to attract more members , plan more events and collaborate with domestic Association and International Chambers to do more meaningful events .
